MANATI 7, MAYAGUEZ 1 IN MAYAGUEZ


Twins: Kennys Vargas (Mayaguez) was 0-for-4. Eddie Rosario (Mayaguez) was 0-for-3. Daniel Ortiz (Mayaguez) was 1-for-3.
Game summary: Manati scored five runs in the second inning.
Manati: Tyler Herron gave up one run on five hits in six innings. Michael Perez (Arizona) was 1-for-4 with a walk and a two-run homer, scoring twice.
Mayaguez: Angel Sanchez (Dodgers) was 2-for-4 with a double and scored once.

SANTURCE 8, CAGUAS 6 IN SANTURCE

Twins: Nelvin Fuentes (Santurce) pitched a scoreless inning despite giving up a hit and two walks.
Game summary: Santurce lost a 6-2 lead, but a two-run double by Sergio Miranda in the sixth inning put them up 8-6.
Caguas: Ramon Castro was 2-for-4 with a grand slam and a solo homer. Carlos Rivera was 2-for-4 with a double and a walk and scored once.
Santurce: Fehlandt Lentini was 4-for-5 with a home run, scoring three times and driving in four. Miranda was 2-for-4 and drove in three.

CAROLINA 3, PONCE 1 IN PONCE

Twins: Angel Morales (Ponce) was 0-for-3.
Game summary: Carolina scored two in the first and one in the eighth. Ponce's lone run came in the sixth.
Carolina: Deinys Suarez allowed an unearned run on two hits and two walks in six innings. Pedro Valdes was 2-for-3 with a double and a walk, driving in two.
Ponce: Christian Colon (Kansas City) was 1-for-3 with a double and was hit by a pitch.
