Mexican League: Games of November 24


GUASAVE 13, LOS MOCHIS 3 IN LOS MOCHIS

Twins:  Chris Colabello (Guasave) was 2-for-4 with a home run and a walk, scoring three times.
Game summary:  Guasave scored nine runs in the first inning.
Guasave:  Jesus Cota was 2-for-3 with a walk, scoring twice and driving in two.  Jose Rodriguez was 2-for-4 with two doubles, scoring once and driving in two.
Los Mochis:  Alexis Gomez was 2-for-3.  Jermaine Curtis (St. Louis) was 2-for-4.

OBREGON 4, MAZATLAN 2 IN MAZATLAN

Game summary:  Trailing 2-1, Obregon scored three in the sixth.
Obregon:  Arturo Lopez struck out seven in seven innings, giving up two runs (one earned) on six hits and a walk.  Doug Clark was 3-for-4, scoring twice and driving in one.
Mazatlan:  Mario Santana was 2-for-3.  Jose Orozco was 1-for-3 with a walk and a run.

NAVOJOA 9, HERMOSILLO 1 IN HERMOSILLO

Game summary:  Navojoa scored two in the third to take a 2-1 lead, then scored seven in the ninth to put it away.
Navojoa:  Wes Bankston was 4-for-5 with a double, scoring once and driving in two.  Steve Moss was 3-for-5 with a double, scoring twice and driving in one.
Hermosillo:  Alejandro Martinez worked 5.1 scoreless innings of relief, allowing two hits and no walks.

CULIACAN 3, MEXICALI 2 IN MEXICALI

Game summary:  Culiacan led 2-0 after six and 3-1 after eight.  Mexicali got the tying run on base with two out in the ninth.
Culiacan:  Rodrigo Lopez struck out four in five shutout innings, giving up four hits and no walks.  Ben Guez hit a two-run homer.
Mexicali:  Oscar Robles was 2-for-4 with a triple and scored once.  Antonio Lamas hit a pinch-hit home run.
