MESA 11, PEORIA 8 IN PEORIA


Twins: Nate Roberts was 2-for-4 with a walk and scored twice. Evan Bigley was 1-for-3 with a double and two walks, scoring once and driving in two. Michael Tonkin gave up a run on a hit and a walk in two innings.
Game summary: Trailing 6-2 after six, Mesa scored seven in the seventh. Peoria closed to 9-8 after eight, but Mesa scored two more in the ninth.
Mesa: George Springer (Houston) was 3-for-5 with a double and a triple, scoring twice and driving in two. Logan Watkins (Cubs) was 3-for-5 with a home run, scoring twice and driving in two.
Peoria: Jeudy Valdez (San Diego) was 2-for-3 with a double, a two-run homer, and two walks, scoring three times. Robbie Erlin (San Diego) struck out eight and walked none in four innings, giving up one run on five hits.

SALT RIVER 11, PHOENIX 5 IN PHOENIX

Game summary: Salt River scored three in the second and never lost the lead.
Salt River: Kevin Pillar (Toronto) was 3-for-5, scoring twice and driving in two. Corey Dickerson (Colorado) was 2-for-5 and scored once.
Phoenix: Kevin Kiermaier (Tampa Bay) was 2-for-3 with a triple and a walk, scoring once. Cory Brownsten (Atlanta) was 2-for-4 and drove in two.

SCOTTSDALE 4, SURPRISE 3 IN SURPRISE

Game summary: Surprise scored two in the eighth to close to 4-3 and got the tying run to second base with one out.
Scottsdale: Kyle Kaminska (Pittsburgh) gave up an unearned run on four hits and no walks, striking out four in five innings. Slade Heathcott (Yankees) was 2-for-3 with a double and two walks, scoring once and driving in one.
Surprise: Colin Walsh (St. Louis) was 2-for-3 with a walk, scoring once and driving in one. Edwin Carl (Kansas City) retired all six batters he faced, striking out two.
