Puerto Rican League: Games of November 14


PONCE 8, CAGUAS 6 IN PONCE

Twins:  Angel Morales (Ponce) was 1-for-4 with a double and scored once.  Josue Montanez (Ponce) worked a perfect inning.
Game summary:  Ponce scored seven in the second to take a 7-1 lead.  Caguas scored three in the ninth on two pinch-hit homers and got the tying run on base with one out.
Caguas:  Edgard Clemente was 2-for-3 with a double and scored twice.
Ponce:  Michael Bianucci was 4-for-5 with two doubles, scoring once and driving in three.  Christian Colon was 2-for-4 with a walk, scoring once and driving in two.

CAROLINA 4, MAYAGUEZ 3 IN CAROLINA (10 INNINGS)

Twins:  Kennys Vargas (Mayaguez) was 1-for-4 with a double and an RBI.  Eddie Rosario (Mayaguez) was 0-for-3 with a walk.  Daniel Ortiz (Mayaguez) was 4-for-4 with a two-run homer.
Game summary:  The winning run was walked in.
Mayaguez:  Jonathan Albaladejo worked two shutout innings, giving up a hit and two walks.  Irving Falu was 1-for-4 with a walk.
Carolina:  Hector Santiago struck out six in five shutout innings, allowing four hits and two walks.  Osvaldo Martinez was 3-for-5 and scored once.
