Australian League: Games of November 16


CANBERRA 3, BRISBANE 2 IN BRISANE

Twins:  Logan Wade (Brisbane) was 1-for-4.
Game summary:  The scoring was done after the fifth.  Brisbane got a leadoff double in the seventh and put runners on first and third with none out in the ninth.
Canberra:  Brian Grening struck out six in 6.1 innings, giving up two runs on eight hits and one walk.  Michael Wells was 2-for-3 with two doubles and a walk, driving in one.
Brisbane:  Rhys Niit struck out four in four shutout innings of relief, giving up two hits and no walks.  Andrew Campbell (Cleveland) was 2-for-3 with a double and a walk, scoring once.

PERTH 3, MELBOURNE 0 IN PERTH

Twins:  Joshua Hendricks (Melbourne) was used as a pinch-hitter and was 0-for-1.
Game summary:  Perth scored two in the fourth and one in the eighth.
Melbourne:  Carlo Testa (Kansas City) was 1-for-2 with a double and two walks.
Perth:  Virgil Vasquez threw a complete game, striking out nine while allowing three hits and three walks.  Corey Adamson was 2-for-4 with two doubles.
