CIBAO 1, AGUILAS 0 IN CIBAO (10 INNINGS)

Twins:  Luis Perdomo (Aguilas) struck out two in 1.1 innings, but allowed the game’s only run on a hit and two walks, both intentional.
Game summary:  An RBI single by Robinzon Diaz delivered the winning run.
Aguilas:  Tim Corcoran worked seven shutout innings, giving up seven hits and two walks.  Hector Luna was 2-for-4.
Cibao:  Kevin Pucetas pitched six innings, allowing three hits and no walks.  Leury Garcia (Texas) was 2-for-4 with a double and a walk.

ESTE 7, ORIENTE 3 IN ORIENTE

Twins:  Miguel Sano (Oriente) pinch-hit and was 0-for-1.
Game summary:  Steven Lerud (Philadelphia) hit a two-run homer in the seventh to break a 3-3 tie.
Este:  Diory Hernandez was 4-for-5 with a double and scored three times.  Lerud was 3-for-3 with a walk and drove in three.
Oriente:  Alex Valdez (Pittsburgh) was 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs.  Juan Diaz (Cleveland) was 2-for-3 with a triple.

ESCOGIDO 3, LICEY 1 IN LICEY

Game summary:  Escogido scored single runs in the sixth and seventh, breaking a 1-1 tie.
Escogido:  Daniel Cabrera pitched six innings, giving up one run on four hits and no walks.  Nelson Figueroa struck out two in three perfect innings.
Licey:  Randall Delgado (Atlanta) allowed two runs on two hits and two walks in five innings.  Juan Francisco (Atlanta) was 1-for-4 with a double and an RBI.
