Dominican League: Games of November 13


ORIENTE 3, ESCOGIDO 1 IN ESCOGIDO

Twins:  Drew Butera (Oriente) was 0-for-2 with a sacrifice bunt.
Game summary:  It was tied 1-1 after seven.  Oriente scored single runs in the eighth and ninth.
Oriente:  Frankie De La Cruz pitched four shutout innings of relief, allowing a hit and a walk.  Luis Jimenez (Angels) was 2-for-2 with a walk and scored twice.
Escogido:  Steven Wright (Boston) gave up one run on three hits and no walks in six innings while striking out five.

AGUILAS 6, ESTE 0 IN ESTE

Game summary:  Leading 1-0, Aguilas scored four in the fifth to take control.
Aguilas:  Michael Bowden (Cubs) gave up three hits and two walks in five innings.  Juan Carlos Perez was 2-for-4 with a home run.
Este:  Ricardo Nanita was 2-for-4.  Eugenio Velez was 1-for-3 with a double and a walk.

CIBAO 2, LICEY 1 IN CIBAO (10 INNINGS)

Game summary:  It was scoreless after nine.  An error, a walk, and an error loaded the bases in the tenth, and two more walks brought in the tying and winning runs for Cibao.
Licey:  Ramon Ortiz worked 4.1 shutout innings, allowing two hits and no walks.  Leonys Martin (Texas) was 2-for-4 with a home run and a walk.
Cibao:  Jose De Paula (San Diego) pitched four shutout innings, giving up three hits and no walks.  Rafael Fernandez was 1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI.
