Twins:  Drew Butera (Oriente) was 0-for-4 and scored once.
Game summary:  Oriente scored three in the fifth to break a 4-4 tie, then added two in the sixth to take control.
Oriente:  Todd Linden (San Francisco) was 2-for-4 with two home runs.  Denis Phipps (Cincinnati) was 2-for-4 with a home run, driving in two.
Cibao:  Jean Segura (Milwaukee) was 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and scored twice.  Marcell Ozuna (Miami) walked and hit a two-run homer.

Twins:  Pedro Florimon (Escogido) was 0-for-3 with a sacrifice bunt.
Game summary:  Aguilas scored single runs in the fifth and eighth.

Game summary:  Scottsdale scored six runs in the second inning on the way to an easy win.
Peoria:  Jeudy Valdez (San Diego) doubled and drove in the lone run.
Scottsdale:  Kyle Kaminska (Pittsburgh) struck out six in five shutout innings, giving up one hit and no walks.  David Adams (Yankees) was 2-for-3 with two doubles and a walk, scoring once and driving in three.

SURPRISE 7, MESA 2 IN SURPRISE

Game summary:  Surprise scored two in the third to break a 1-1 tie and gradually took control of the game.
Mesa:  Rafael Ynoa (Dodgers) was 2-for-4 and drove in a run.  Nick Castellanos (Detroit) was 2-for-5.
Surprise:  Darrell Cicilliani (Mets) was 2-for-4 with a walk, scoring twice and driving in two.  Hanser Alberto (Texas) was 2-for-4, scoring once and driving in one.

SALT RIVER 9, PHOENIX 2 IN PHOENIX

Game summary:  Salt River scored three in the fourth to take control and four in the seventh to put it away.
Salt River:  Ryan Perry (Washington) worked five shutout innings, giving up one hit and no walks.  Kent Matthes (Colorado) was 2-for-4 with a walk and a home run, scoring three times and driving in two.
Phoenix:  Hak-Ju Lee (Tampa Bay) was 2-for-4 and scored once.  Hunter Morris (Milwaukee) doubled and drove in two.

Game summary:  Leading 1-0, Oriente scored four in the sixth to take command.
Oriente:  Bruce Billings (Oakland) gave up one hit and walked three in four innings.  Nelson Perez (Cubs) was 2-for-2 with a double, scoring once and driving in two.
Este:  Elih Villanueva (Miami) allowed one run on three hits and two walks in 4.2 innings.

ESCOGIDO 10, LICEY 8 IN ESCOGIDO

Twins:  Pedro Florimon was 0-for-3 with two walks and scored twice.  He also struck out once.
Game summary:  Escogido overcame a six-run sixth by Licey, scoring three in their half of the sixth to take an 8-6 lead.
Licey:  Engel Beltre (Texas) was 4-for-4 with a triple and scored twice.  Michel Abreu was 2-for-3 with a home run and a walk.

Twins: Pedro Florimon (Escogido) was 1-for-5 and scored once. Miguel Sano (Oriente) was 1-for-4 with a walk and struck out once. Drew Butera (Oriente) was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI, striking out twice.
Game summary: A bases-loaded balk scored the winning run for Oriente in the bottom of the ninth.
Escogido: Roger Kieschnick (San Francisco) was 2-for-5 with a home run. Buck Britton (Baltimore) was 2-for-5 with a double, scoring twice and driving in one.
Oriente: Todd Linden (San Francisco) was 2-for-4 with a double. Daniel Robertson (San Diego) was 2-for-4 and scored once.

Game summary: Aguilas broke a scoreless tie with two in the third and never trailed.
