Games of April 21

Twins affiliates are swept.  The Red Wings lose in extra innings.  The Miracle loses due to errors.  The Lookouts and the Kernels lose due to big innings.

COLUMBUS 4, ROCHESTER 3 IN ROCHESTER (10 INNINGS)

The Red Wings scored two in the eighth to tie it 3-3.  Neither team scored in the ninth, so they used the Manfred Rule.  Brandon Barnes delivered an RBI single to give the Clippers a 4-3 lead.  Rochester apparently went for the win rather than the tie, but went strikeout, ground out, strikeout to end the game.
Leonardo Reginatto was 2-for-5 with a double and two RBIs.  Nick Buss was 2-for-5 and is batting .333.  Jake Cave was 2-for-5.  Gregorio Petit was 1-for-4 and is batting .368.  Aaron Slegers pitched six innings, giving up three runs on seven hits and no walks and striking out four.  His ERA is 2.00.  Nick Anderson struck out three in two shutout innings, giving up two hits.  His ERA is 1.29.

JACKSON 13, CHATTANOOGA 2 IN JACKSON

The Generals scored seven in the second and it was not close after that.  The 13-2 score matches the Generals' record through fifteen games.
Brent Rooker was 2-for-4 with a double.  Nick Gordon was 1-for-3 and is batting .351.  Zander Weil was 1-for-4 with a double and is batting .396.  Kohl Stewart pitched just 1.2 innings, giving up seven runs (six earned) on six hits and a walk and striking out one.  Todd Van Steensel struck out four in 2.1 scoreless innings, giving up two hits.  Zack Jones struck out three in two shutout innings, giving up two walks.  His ERA is 2.35.

BRADENTON 5, FORT MYERS 3 IN BRADENTON

Two errors led to two Marauders runs in the bottom of the sixth, giving Bradenton a 4-2 lead.
Jaylin Davis was 1-for-1 with a double but left the game in the third inning.  I don't know why.  Aaron Whitefield, his replacement, was 3-for-3.  Jimmy Kerrigan was 2-for-5 with two doubles and is batting .407.  Joe Cronin was 1-for-3 with a walk and is batting .389.  Brady Anderson pitched 4.1 innings, giving up two runs on five hits and no walks and striking out one.  Ryan Mason pitched a perfect inning, striking out one.

KANE COUNTY 9, CEDAR RAPIDS 2 IN CEDAR RAPIDS

The Kernels led 2-0, but the Cougars tied it with two in the fifth and scored seven in the seventh to put the game out of reach.
Royce Lewis was 4-for-4 with two runs and is batting .323.  Jose Miranda was 2-for-4.  Ben Rortvedt was 0-for-4 and is batting .333.  Jordan Gore was 1-for-3 and is batting .333.  Nick Brown pitched 4.1 scoreless innings, giving up four hits and a walk and striking out four.  He threw eighty-one pitches.  Jared Finkel pitched 2.2 scoreless innings, giving up a hit and two walks and striking out two.  His ERA remains zero in 9,2 innings.
