Mexican League: Games of November 20


MEXICALI 6, GUASAVE 5 IN GUASAVE (10 INNINGS)

Twins:  Chris Colabello (Guasave) was 2-for-5 with a double, scoring once and driving in one.
Game summary:  Roman Pena homered in the ninth to tie the score at five and Luke Montz (Oakland) homered in the tenth to put Mexicali ahead to stay.
Mexicali:  Montz was 2-for-5 and drove in two.  Pena was 1-for-2 with two walks and scored twice.
Guasave:  Eduardo Arredondo and Zelous Wheeler (Baltimore) were each 3-for-5 with a double and a home run.

NAVOJOA 13, MAZATLAN 3 IN NAVOJOA

Twins:  Gonzalo Sanudo (Navojoa) worked a perfect inning.
Game summary:  Navojoa led 7-2 after four and 12-2 after six.
Mazatlan:  Heber Gomez was 3-for-4 with a double, scoring once and driving in two.  Ivan Terrazas singled and walked, scoring once.
Navojoa:  Steve Moss was 5-for-5 with three home runs, scoring four times and driving in five.  Christian Zazueta was 2-for-5 with a three-run homer.

OBREGON 3, LOS MOCHIS 0 IN OBREGON

Game summary:  A solo homer by Willy Taveras and a two-run homer by Barbaro Canizares, both in the third inning, produced all the game’s runs.
Los Mochis:  Jermaine Curtis (St. Louis) was 1-for-2 with a double and two walks.  Jesus Arredondo (Dodgers) was 1-for-1 with two walks.
Obregon:  Marco Carillo pitched six innings, allowing four hits and three walks.  Agustin Murillo was 2-for-3 with a walk.

CULIACAN 3, HERMOSILLO 2 IN CULIACAN

Game summary:  Emmanuel Valdez homered in the sixth to break a 2-2 tie.
Hermosillo:  Dennys Reyes gave up two runs on five hits and three walks while striking out six in 5.1 innings.  Jose Amador was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.
Culiacan:  Amauri Sanit allowed two runs (one earned) on five hits and a walk in six innings.  Valdez scored twice and drove in two.
