Dominican League: Games of November 16


AGULIAS 9, ESCOGIDO 2 IN ESCOGIDO

Twins:  Pedro Flormion (Escogido) was 0-for-4.  Deibinson Romero (Escogido) was 0-for-3 with a walk.
Game summary:  Aguilas took the lead with three in the fourth, then put the game away with four in the sixth.
Aguilas:  Tony Pena, Jr. struck out four in three shutout innings, giving up two hits and no walks.  Miguel Tejada was 2-for-5 with a double, scoring once and driving in four.
Escogido:  Mauro Gomez (Boston) was 2-for-4 with a double and scored once.  Julio Lugo was 2-for-4 with an RBI.

ORIENTE 3, LICEY 2 IN ORIENTE

Twins:  Drew Butera (Oriente) was 1-for-2 with an RBI.
Game summary:  Daniel Robertson (San Diego) hit a two-out RBI single in the ninth for Oriente.
Licey:  Jennry Mejia (Mets) allowed one run on three hits and a walk in five innings while striking out four.  Juan Francisco (Atlanta) was 2-for-4 with two home runs.
Oriente:  Felix Pie was 3-for-4 with a double.  Evan MacLane gave up one run on four hits and a walk in 4.1 innings.

ESTE 7, CIBAO 6 IN CIBAO

Game summary:  Este took a 4-3 lead in the fourth and never lost it.
Este:  Willis Otanez was 2-for-4 with a double and a homer.  Eugenio Velez was 2-for-4 with a homer, scoring twice and driving in two.
Cibao:  Alexi Casilla (Baltimore) was 3-for-5 with two doubles, scoring once and driving in one.  Francisco Peguero (San Francisco) was 2-for-3 with a double and a walk, scoring once and driving in one.
