Mexican League: Games of November 7


GUASAVE 5, OBREGON 3 IN GUASAVE

Twins:  Chris Colabello (Guasave) was 1-for-3 with a home run and a walk.
Game summary:  Guasave led 5-0 after seven.  Obregon got within two in the ninth, but never got the tying run up to bat.
Obregon:  Doug Clark homered and walked for Obregon.
Guasave:  Jesus Cota was 2-for-4 with a home run.  Eduardo Arredondo was 2-for-3 with a double and scored once.

NAVOJOA 10, MAZATLAN 6 IN NAVOJOA

Game summary:  Navojoa overcame Mazatlan’s five-run first inning by scoring at least once in each of the first six innings.
Mazatlan:  Ivan Terrazas was 2-for-3 with a home run and a walk and drove in four.  Paul Leon was 2-for-3 with a double and scored once.
Navojoa:  Roland Accosta was 3-for-5 with a double and scored three times.  Kraig Binick was 2-for-3 with a double and a walk, scoring twice and driving in one.

CULIACAN 7, LOS MOCHIS 3 IN CULIACAN

Game summary:  Culiacan took a 3-0 lead, lost it, and scored three in the sixth to take a 6-3 lead.
Los Mochis:  Jason Botts was 2-for-4 with a homer and drove in two.  Sandy Madera was 2-for-4 with a homer.
Culiacan:  Maxwell Leon was 4-for-5, scoring once and driving in two.  Richard Serrano hit a home run.

HERMOSILLO 9, MEXICALI 6 IN HERMOSILLO

Game summary:  Hermosillo took a 2-1 lead after the first inning and never trailed.
Mexicali:  Issmael Salas was 2-for-4 with a home run and scored twice.  Luis Juarez was 2-for-2 with two doubles and scored twice.
Hermosillo:  Todd Cunningham (Atlanta) was 3-for-3 with a homer, a double, and a walk, scoring three times.  Jorge Cantu was 2-for-4 with a homer and a walk, scoring twice.
