Mexican League: Games of November 9


GUASAVE 13, LOS MOCHIS 6 IN LOS MOCHIS

Twins:  Chris Colabello (Guasave) was 2-for-5 with two home runs.
Game summary:  Guasave scored four in the fourth to take a 6-3 lead and four in the seventh to take command.
Guasave:  Gabriel Gutierrez was 2-for-3 with a walk and scored twice. Jesus Cota was 1-for-2 with a homer and two walks, scoring three times.
Los Mochis:  Alexis Gomez was 2-for-3 with a walk and two home runs.  Ramon Orantes was 2-for-4 and scored once.

HERMOSILLO 5, MAZATLAN 4 IN MAZATLAN (18 INNINGS)

Twins:  Anthony Slama (Mazatlan) struck out three in 1.1 scoreless innings, allowing two hits and a walk.
Game summary:  Hermosillo scored two in the eighth to tie the score at four.  The winning run scored on a squeeze bunt.
Hermosillo:  Jonathan Castellanos pitched five innings of shutout relief, giving up three hits and one walk.  Jesse Gutierrez was 3-for-8 with a home run and a walk, driving in two.
Mazatlan:  Jay Jackson (Cubs) struck out four in five shutout innings, allowing one hit and no walks.  Oswaldo Morejon was 4-for-6 with a double and two walks, scoring twice and driving in one.

OBREGON 2, NAVOJOA 1 IN OBREGON (10 INNINGS)

Twins:  Gonzalo Sanudo (Navojoa) gave up a run on two hits and no walks while striking out two in 1.2 innings.
Game summary:  Alfredo Amezaga delivered a one-out RBI single to bring home the winner.
Navojoa:  Sergio Lizarraga worked three hitless innings, walking three.  Kraig Binick was 2-for-5 with an RBI.
Obregon:  Bobby Cramer gave up one run on five hits and a walk in six innings.  Amezaga was 2-for-5 and scored once.

MEXICALI 5, CULIACAN 0 IN MEXICALI

Game summary:  Mexicali scored one in the third, two in the fourth, and two in the fifth.
Culiacan:  Ronnier Mustelier (Yankees) was 2-for-3 with a walk.  Omar Espinoza allowed one hit in two shutout innings.
Mexicali:  Marco Duarte (Boston) struck out six in six innings, giving up four hits and three walks.  Ricky Alvarez was 2-for-3 with a home run and scored twice.
