Dominican League: Games of November 24


AGUILAS 2, ESTE 0 IN AGUILAS

Twins:  Samuel Deduno (Aguilas) started and pitched three innings, striking out three while allowing three hits and a walk.  Luis Perdomo (Aguilas) struck out the only man he faced.
Game summary:  Aguilas scored one in the first and one in the sixth.
Este:  Claudio Vargas gave up an unearned run on four hits and two walks while striking out four.
Aguilas:  Juan Carlos Perez was 2-for-3 with a double. Oscar Taveras (St. Louis) hit a home run and walked, driving in both runs.

ORIENTE 4, ESCOGIDO 3 IN ORIENTE

Twins:  Pedro Florimon (Escogido) was 1-for-3 with a walk and scored once.
Game summary:  Felix Pie (Pittsburgh) singled in two runs in the seventh to put Oriente ahead 4-2.  Escogido put together four singles in the ninth, but only scored once.
Escogido:  Abraham Almonte (Yankees) was 3-for-4 with a double and a walk, scoring once and driving in one.  Edward Valdez allowed two runs (one earned) on a hit and four walks while striking out five in six innings.
Oriente:  Eliezer Mesa (Oakland) was 2-for-3 with a double, scoring twice and driving in one.  Pie was 1-for-4 but had three RBIs.

CIBAO 5, LICEY 2 IN LICEY

Game summary:  Cibao scored three in the sixth to take a 4-2 lead.
Cibao:  Robinzon Diaz was 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored.  Wilson Valdez was 2-for-3 with an RBI.
Licey:  Alfredo Figaro pitched five innings, giving up a run on five hits and a walk with four strikeouts.  Leonys Martin (Texas) was 2-for-3 with a walk and a run.
