Mexican League: Games of November 28


MAZATLAN 8, LOS MOCHIS 4 IN MAZATLAN

Twins:  Anthony Slama (Mazatlan) pitched a perfect inning with one strikeout.
Game summary:  Mazatlan scored five in the third to take a 6-0 lead.
Los Mochis:  Jason Botts was 3-for-4 with a home run and scored twice.  Ramon Orantes was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.
Mazatlan:  Humberto Montemayor allowed one run on five hits and a walk while striking out four in 5.1 innings.  Brett Harper was 3-for-4 with two home runs and five RBIs.

HERMOSILLO 3, GUASAVE 1 IN GUASAVE

Twins:  Chris Colabello (Guasave) was 2-for-4 with a double and a home run, his eleventh.
Game summary:  Jorge Canto hit a two-run homer in the eighth to break a 1-1 tie.  Guasave had runners on second and third with two out in the ninth.
Hermosillo:  Marco Tovar struck out seven in six innings, giving up one run on four hits and no walks.  Carlos Gastelum was 3-for-4 with a double.
Guasave:  Andrew Sisco allowed one run on five hits and three walks in seven innings.

NAVOJOA 7, MEXICALI 3 IN MEXICALI

Twins:  Gonzalo Sanudo (Navojoa) pitched one-third of an inning, allowing one hit but no runs.
Game summary:  Navojoa scored three in the fourth to take a 3-1 lead and got four in the sixth to make it 7-1.
Navojoa:  Abel Martinez was 2-for-4 with a home run, scoring twice and driving in four.  Kraig Binick was 2-for-5 and scored twice.
Mexicali:  Jon Weber was 2-for-3 with a double, scoring once and driving in one.  Yuniesky Betancourt was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.

CULIACAN 8, OBREGON 7 IN OBREGON

Game summary:  It was tied 3-3 after three.  Culiacan led 8-3 after six.  Obregon scored four in the seventh and had the tying run on base in the seventh, eighth, and ninth.
Culiacan:  Ricardo Serrano was 2-for-4 with a double and a home run, driving in three.  Maxwell Leon was 2-for-4 with a double and scored once.
Obregon:  Kevin Flores was 3-for-4 and scored twice.  Jose Figueroa (Yankees) was 2-for-4, scoring twice and driving in two.
