Australian League: Games of November 23


MELBOURNE 5, CABERRA 3 IN CANBERRA

Twins:  Joshua Hendricks (Melbourne) was 3-for-4 with a three-run homer.
Game summary:  Canberra scored two in the seventh to tie the game at three, but single runs in the eighth and ninth gave Melbourne the victory.
Melbourne:  Kevin Reese gave up one run on eight hits but no walks in six innings.  Elliot Biddle was 3-for-4 with a double, scoring once and driving in one.
Canberra:  Jonathan Jones (Toronto) was 3-for-5 and scored once.  Michael Wells was 2-for-4 with an RBI.

ADELAIDE 7, BRISBANE 6 IN ADELAIDE

Twins:  Logan Wade (Brisbane) was 1-for-3 with a double and a walk.
Game summary:  Adelaide led 7-0 after five.  Brisbane got the tying run to second in the ninth with none out and to third with two out.
Brisbane:  Joshua Roberts was 1-for-3 with a double and two walks, scoring twice.  Cody Clark was 1-for-3 with a homer, a walk, and three RBIs.
Adelaide:  Stefan Welch (Pittsburgh) was 3-for-5 with a double, a homer, and two RBIs.  Angus Roeger was 2-for-2 with two walks, scoring once and driving in one.

SYDNEY 4, PERTH 2 IN SYDNEY

Twins:  JaDamion Williams (Sydney) was 0-for-4.  Tim Atherton (Syndey) retired all four men he faced, two by strikeout.
Game summary:  Sydney scored two in the seventh to break a 2-2 tie.
Perth:  Steven Bumbry (Baltimore) was 3-for-4 with a homer and two RBIs.  Elliott Hargreaves was 2-for-3 and scored once.
Sydney:  Craig Anderson allowed two runs (one earned) on nine hits but no walks in 6.2 innings.
