Venezuelan League: Games of December 7

ARAGUA 7, MARGARITA 4 IN ARAGUA


Twins: Oswaldo Arcia (Aragua) was 2-for-2 with a double, a walk, and a sacrifice fly, scoring once and driving in four. Dakota Watts (Aragua) did not give up a run in two-thirds of an inning despite allowing one hit and two walks.
Game summary: Aragua broke a scoreless tie by scoring four in the fourth. Margarita cut the lead to 4-3 after five and a half, but Aragua scored once in the sixth and two in the seventh to regain control.
Margarita: Alberto Gonzalez (Cubs) was 3-for-4 with a double and scored twice. Javier Brito was 2-for-3 with a double and a walk, scoring once and driving in one.
Aragua: Horacio Estrada allowed one run on five hits and a walk in five innings. Luis Hernandez (Cleveland) was 2-for-4 with a double, scoring once and driving in two.

ANZOATEGUI 5, MAGALLANES 0 IN ANZOATEGUI

Twins: Eduardo Escobar (Anzoategui) was 2-for-3 with a double, scoring once and driving in one.
Game summary: Anzoategui scored three in the fifth to take a 3-0 lead.
Magallanes: Gabriel Garcia struck out both batters he faced.
Anzoategui: Jose Alvarez (Detroit) allowed one hit and no walks in seven innings. Matt Young (Angels) was 2-for-4 with a double and scored once.

LA GUAIRA 7, CARACAS 6 IN CARACAS

Game summary: Trailing 5-2 after six, La Guaira scored four in the seventh on a grand slam by Salvador Perez (Kansas City) and got one more in the eighth. Caracas scored once in the ninth and got the tying run on base with two out.
La Guaira: Perez was 2-for-4 with a double and six RBIs. Gregor Blanco was 3-for-5 and scored three times.
Caracas: Franklin Gutierrez (Seattle) was 3-for-4, scoring once and driving in one. Hernan Perez (Detroit) was 1-for-3 with a walk and scored twice.
