Puerto Rican League: Games of December 14


CAROLINA 1, MAYAGUEZ 0 IN CAROLINA

Twins:  Eddie Rosario (Mayaguez) was 1-for-4.  Daniel Ortiz (Mayaguez) was 0-for-3.
Game summary:  Carolina scored the game’s only run in the fifth.
Mayaguez:  Josh Walter gave up one run on four hits and no walks in 4.2 innings.  Adonis Garcia (Yankees) was 2-for-4.
Carolina:  Willie Collazo (Toronto) worked 7.2 innings, allowing eight hits and no walks.  Jesus Feliciano was 2-for-3 with a double and a walk, driving in one.

PONCE 5, MANATI 2 IN PONCE

Game summary:  Ponce led 4-0 after five.  Manati scored both runs in the eighth.
Manati:  Ruben Gotay was 3-for-4 with a walk and scored once.  Keiji Nakahara was 2-for-5 with a double and scored once.
Ponce:  Zack Segovia pitched five shutout innings, allowing five hits and three walks.  Christian Colon (Kansas City) was 2-for-4 with a double, scoring once and driving in one.

SANTURCE 6, CAGUAS 5 IN CAGUAS

Game summary:  Santurce led 6-2 after five.  Caguas got two in the sixth and one in the ninth.
Santurce:  Sergio Miranda was 2-for-4 with a double, scoring once and driving in one.  Shoki Kasahara gave up two runs on three hits while striking out four in five innings.
Caguas:  Jaime Ortiz was 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBIs.  Aaron Bates was 2-for-4 with a double and scored once.
