SYDNEY 4, CANBERRA 3 IN SYDNEY

Twins:  JaDamion Williams (Sydney) was 0-for-3 with a walk.  Tyler Herr (Sydney) struck out two in a scoreless inning, giving up one hit.

Game summary:  Sydney scored three in the fifth to take a 4-3 lead.  Canberra’s best scoring chance after that came in the sixth, when they had runners on first and third with one out.

Canberra:  Kody Hightower was 3-for-3 with an RBI.  Kyle Perkins struck out two in 2.1 scoreless innings, giving up a hit and a walk.

Sydney:  Geoffrey Klein (St. Louis) was 2-for-4 with a double.  Mitch Dening (Boston) was 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI.

ADELAIDE 10, MELBOURNE 4 IN ADELAIDE

Twins:  Joshua Hendricks (Melbourne) was 1-for-3 and scored once.

Game summary:  Trailing 4-3 after six, Adelaide scored four in the seventh and three in the eighth.

Melbourne:  Carlo Testa (Kansas City) was 1-for-3 with a home run and a walk, scoring twice.  Brad Harman hit a two-run homer.

Adelaide:  Ji-Man Choi (Seattle) was 3-for-3 with two doubles and a walk, scoring twice and driving in one.  Stefan Welch (Pittsburgh) was 3-for-5 with a double and a home run, scoring three times.

BRISBANE 6, PERTH 4 IN PERTH

Twins:  Logan Wade (Brisbane) was 0-for-4 but scored once and drove in one.

Game summary:  Brisbane scored four in the seventh to take a 6-1 lead.

Brisbane:  Cody Clark was 2-for-4 with four RBIs.  Adam Gordon was 0-for-2 but walked twice and scored twice.

Perth:  Greg Van Sickler struck out four in 2.2 scoreless innings, allowing two hits and a walk.
