Twins:  Pedro Florimon (Escogido) was 1-for-3 with a sacrifice bunt and scored once.

Game summary:  Trailing 4-2, Licey scored six runs in the eighth.

Escogido:  Kris Johnson (Pittsburgh) pitched five shutout innings, giving up three hits and a walk.  Mauro Gomez (Boston) was 2-for-3 with a home run and a walk, scoring twice and driving in two.

Licey:  Jordany Valdespin (Mets) was 2-for-3 with a home run and a walk.  Yordany Ramirez was 2-for-4 with two RBIs.

ORIENTE 11, ESTE 3 IN ORIENTE

Twins:  Wilkin Ramirez (Este) was used as a reserve and was 0-for-1 with a walk.  Miguel Sano (Oriente) was used as a reserve and walked and scored in his only plate appearance.

Game summary:  Oriente scored three in the third and five in the fifth to take an 8-0 lead.

Este:  Jose Ramirez (Cleveland) was 3-for-4 with two RBIs.  Horacio Ramirez pitched two shutout innings, giving up a hit and a walk.

Oriente:  Victor Moreno struck out four in three shutout innings, allowing two hits and a walk.  Felix Pie (Pittsburgh) was 2-for-3 with a double and a walk, scoring once and driving in two.

CIBAO 4, AGUILAS 2 IN CIBAO

Game summary:  Cibao scored two in the fifth to take a 3-1 lead and added another in the seventh.

Aguilas:  Miguel Tejada was 2-for-4 with a double and a home run.  Erick Almonte homered and walked.

Cibao:  Alexi Casilla (Baltimore) was 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, and an RBI.  Jose De Paula (San Diego) allowed one run on five hits and two walks with four strikeouts in 3.1 innings.
