Mexican League: Games of December 7


GUASAVE 4, LOS MOCHIS 3 IN GUASAVE

Twins:  Chris Colabello (Guasave) was 4-for-4 with an RBI, raising his average to .339.
Game summary:  Guasave trailed 3-2 when Japhet Amador hit a two-run homer in the eighth.
Los Mochis:  Juan Serrano gave up one run on four hits and two walks in five innings.  Jason Botts was 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs.
Guasave:  Amador was 2-for-2 with two home runs and two walks, driving in three.  Jose Rodriguez was 1-for-3 with a walk and scored twice.

MEXICALI 13, CULIACAN 6 IN CULIACAN

Game summary:  Mexicali broke a 6-6 tie with one in the seventh, then scored five in the eighth to take control.
Mexicali:  Roman Pena was 2-for-4 with four RBIs.  Issmael Salas was 2-for-4 with a walk and a home run, scoring three times and driving in three.
Culiacan:  Carlos Alvarez was 2-for-3 with a home run, a double, and two walks.  Marlon Byrd was 2-for-4 with a double and scored twice.

HERMOSILLO 5, MAZATLAN 4 IN HERMOSILLO (10 INNINGS)

Game summary:  Carlos Gastelum hit a walk-off homer to lead off the bottom of the tenth.
Mazatlan:  Heber Gomez was 2-for-4 with a double and a walk, scoring once.  Jesus Espinoza was 2-for-5 with two RBIs.
Hermosillo:  Karim Garcia was 2-for-3 and scored once.  Humberto Cota hit a two-run pinch-hit single.

NAVOJOA 5, OBREGON 4 IN NAVOJOA (10 INNINGS)

Game summary:  Obregon led 3-0 after six.  Navojoa scored four in the seventh to take the lead.  A wild pitch tied the game in the ninth, but Navojoa won on an RBI single by Rolando Acosta in the tenth.
Obregon:  Barbaro Canizares was 2-for-3 with a walk and a two-run homer, scoring twice.
Navojoa:  Kraig Binick was 2-for-3 with two walks, scoring once and driving in one.  Luis Fonseca was 2-for-4 and scored once.
