Mexican League: Games of December 9


LOS MOCHIS 9, GUASAVE 4 IN GUASAVE

Twins:  Chris Colabello (Guasave) was 1-for-2 with two walks and scored once.
Game summary:  Los Mochis scored four in the fifth to break a 2-2 tie.
Los Mochis:  Jason Botts was 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and a walk.  Sandy Madera was 2-for-5 with a triple and two RBIs.
Guasave:  Jesus Lopez was 2-for-4 with a double, scoring once and driving in one.  Gabriel Gutierrez was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.

NAVOJOA 7, OBREGON 2 IN NAVOJOA

Game summary:  Navojoa scored two in the first and led 6-2 after three.
Obregon:  Agustin Murillo was 2-for-3 with a walk and two RBIs.
Navojoa:  Florencio Bustillos struck out three in three shutout innings, allowing one hit.  Kraig Binick was 3-for-5 with a double, scoring once and driving in two.

MEXICALI 13, CULIACAN 2 IN CULIACAN

Game summary:  Mexicali led 6-0 after three innings.
Mexicali:  Michel Abreu was 2-for-4 with a home run and a walk, scoring three times and driving in five.  Yuniesky Betancourt was 3-for-5 and scored three times.
Culiacan:  Carlos Alvarez was 3-for-4 with a walk and an RBI.  Sergio Gastelum was 3-for-4 with a walk and scored once.

MAZATLAN 10, HERMOSILLO 2 IN HERMOSILLO

Game summary:  Mazatlan scored five in the third and five in the fifth.
Mazatlan:  Jeff Bennett gave up one run on six hits and a walk in seven innings.  Chris Walker was 2-for-4 with a walk, scoring once and driving in three.
Hermosillo:  Karim Garcia was 2-for-3 with an RBI.  Hugh Castellanos worked two perfect innings.
