Dominican League: Games of December 18

AGUILAS 4, LICEY 1 IN LICEY

Twins: Samuel Deduno (Aguilas) pitched five innings, giving up one run on two hits and five walks with six strikeouts.
Game summary: With the score tied at one after five, Aguilas scored one in the sixth and two in the seventh.
Aguilas: Manny Ramirez was 4-for-5 with two runs and an RBI. Miguel Tejada was 2-for-5 with two doubles and an RBI.
Licey: Sugar Ray Marimon (Kansas City) started and pitched three shutout innings, allowing two hits and no walks. Donell Linares was 2-for-4 with a double.

CIBAO 4, ORIENTE 3 IN CIBAO

Twins: Miguel Sano (Oriente) was 0-for-4. Jhonatan Arias (Oriente) was used as a reserve and was 0-for-1.
Game summary: Cibao scored three in the second; Oriente scored three in the eighth. Nelson Cruz (Texas) hit a walkoff homer with one out in the ninth.
Oriente: Leandro Castro (Philadelphia) was 2-for-4 and scored once. Brad Snyder hit a two-run double.
Cibao: Jose De Paula (San Diego) struck out seven in 5.2 shutout innings, allowing three hits and no walks. Cruz was 2-for-4 with a double.

ESCOGIDO 6, ESTE 5 IN ESTE (12 INNINGS)

Twins: Pedro Florimon (Escogido) was used as a reserve and was 0-for-1. Wilkin Ramirez (Este) was used as a reserve and went 2-for-2 with two doubles.
Game summary: Escogido scored three in the eighth to go ahead 5-1, but Este scored four in the eighth to tie. In the twelfth, Fernando Tatis hit a two-out single, stole second, and scored on a single by Wilkin Castillo (Dodgers).
Escogido: Kris Johnson (Pittsburgh) pitched six shutout innings, giving up one hit and two walks. Mauro Gomez (Boston) was 1-for-3 with a three-run homer and two walks.
Este: Ozzie Chavez was 2-for-3 with a walk and scored once. Esteban German was 2-for-6 with a double, scoring twice and driving in three.
