ESCOGIDO 12, ORIENTE 5 IN ESCOGIDO

Twins: Miguel Sano (Oriente) was used as a reserve and was 0-for-2. Drew Butera (Oriente) was 1-for-2. Jhonatan Arias (Oriente) was used as a reserve and did not bat.
Game summary: Escogido scored four in the first, led 6-0 after three, and led 9-2 after four.
Oriente: Alex Valdez (Pittsburgh) was 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and scored twice. Junior Lake (Cubs) was 2-for-4 and scored twice.
Escogido: Alexi Casilla (Baltimore) was 4-for-5 with a double and a triple, scoring three times and driving in two. Jordany Valdespin (Mets) was 3-for-4 with two doubles and a walk, scoring twice and driving in two.

AGUILAS 3, ESTE 0 IN ESTE

Game summary: It was scoreless until Aguilas broke through with two in the seventh and one in the eighth.
Aguilas: Angel Castro pitched six shutout innings, giving up five hits and no walks. Oscar Taveras (St. Louis) was 2-for-4 with a home run and scored twice.
Este: Alfredo Figaro (Milwaukee) pitched 5.1 scoreless innings, allowing two hits and a walk.
