Twins:  Miguel Sano (Oriente) was 0-for-4.  Luis Perdomo (Aguilas) pitched 1.1 scoreless innings, giving up two hits and a walk and striking out two.

Game summary:  Aguilas took a 4-1 lead after three.

Oriente:  Brad Snyder was 1-for-2 with a home run, a walk, and two RBIs.  Michael Martinez (Philadelphia) was 2-for-4 with a walk.

Aguilas:  Hector Luna was 3-for-3 with a double and two walks, scoring twice.  Erick Almonte was 2-for-3 with a home run and a walk.

ESCOGIDO 8, CIBAO 5 IN ESCOGIDO

Twins:  Pedro Florimon (Escogido) was used as a reserve but did not bat.

Game summary:  Escogido broke a 4-4 tie with a run in the sixth and got three in the seventh to take control.

Cibao:  Alexi Casilla (Baltimore) was 3-for-4 and scored twice.  Carlos Peguero (Seattle) was 3-for-5 with an RBI.

Escogido:  Melky Mesa was 3-for-4 with two doubles, scoring once and driving in four.  Carlos Santana (Cleveland) was 2-for-3 with a walk, scoring once and driving in one.

LICEY 12, ESTE 3 IN LICEY

Twins:  Wilkin Ramirez (Este) was 0-for-3.

Game summary:  Licey led 4-1 after six and scored six in the seventh.

Licey:  Esmil Rogers (Toronto) struck out seven in five innings, giving up one run on four hits and no walks.  Anderson Hernandez (Pittsburgh) was 3-for-5 with a double and a triple, scoring twice and driving in two.

Este:  Mike McDade (Cleveland) was 2-for-4 with a double and three RBIs.  Chad Huffman was 2-for-3.
