Mexican League: Games of October 20

CULIACAN 7, GUASAVE 1 IN GUASAVE


Twins: Chris Colabello (Guasave) was 0-for-3 and struck out once.
Game summary: Culiacan scored two in the seventh and two in the eighth to put the game away.
Culiacan: Francisco Campos struck out five in six innings, giving up one run on three hits and no walks. Cory Aldridge (Angels) was 2-for-4 with two home runs, driving in three.
Guasave: Jesus Lopez was 2-for-3 with a triple.

MAZATLAN 12, MEXICALI 10 IN MEXICALI

Twins: Anthony Slama (Mazatlan) retired the only man he faced to end the game.
Game summary: Mexicali scored six in the ninth to make the final score look better.
Mazatlan: Ivan Terrazas was 3-for-4 with a grand slam, scoring three times. Anthony Seratelli (Kansas City) was 3-for-5 with a walk, scoring once and driving in one.
Mexicali: Gil Velazquez (Miami) was 3-for-3 with a double. Robert Saucedo was 2-for-5 with a double and a home run, driving in three.

HERMOSILLO 4, OBREGON 3 IN HERMOSILLO

Game summary: It was close all the way, but Hermosillo never trailed after scoring two in the second.
Obregon: Iker Franco was 2-for-4 with a double, driving in one. Doug Clark was 2-for-4 with a double and scored once.
Hermosillo: Jose Amador was 2-for-3 with a double, scoring once and driving in one. Jonathan Castellanos gave up one run on three hits and a walk in five innings.

LOS MOCHIS 3, NAVOJOA 2 IN NAVOJOA

Game summary: Los Mochis scored two in the second to take the early lead. Neither team scored after the fourth inning.
Los Mochis: Jason Botts was 3-for-4 with a home run. Saul Soto was 3-for-4 and scored once.
Navojoa: Steve Moss was 2-for-4 with a double. Hugo Gutierrez struck out four in 3.1 scoreless innings.
