AFL Games of October 24


PEORIA 7, SALT RIVER 6 IN PEORIA

Twins:  Evan Bigley was 0-for-3 with a walk and scored once.  Caleb Thielbar surrendered four runs on five hits with one strikeout in one inning.
Game summary:  Peoria scored four in the bottom of the sixth to overcome a 5-2 deficit.
Salt River:  Kevin Pillar (Toronto) was 3-for-5 and scored twice.  Trayce Thompson (White Sox) was 2-for-4 with a home run, scoring twice and driving in two.
Peoria:  Billy Hamilton (Cincinnati) tripled and drove in three.  Nick Franklin (Seattle) was 0-for-0 with four walks and scored once.

PHOENIX 15, SURPRISE 1 IN SURPRISE

Game summary:  Phoenix already led 8-1 when they scored six in the sixth to turn it into a rout.
Phoenix:  Tim Beckham (Tampa Bay) was 4-for-5 with a double and a triple, scoring twice and driving in four.  Brock Kjeldgaard (Milwaukee) was 4-for-5, scoring twice and driving in two.
Surprise:  Luis Sardinas (Texas) was 2-for-4 with a double.  Colin Walsh (St. Louis) hit a home run.

SCOTTSDALE 4, MESA 3 IN MESA

Game summary:  Chris Dominguez (San Francisco) hit a three-run homer with one out in the ninth to give Scottsdale the lead.
Scottsdale:  Adalberto Santos (Pittsburgh) hit a home run.
Mesa:  Andres Santiago (Dodgers) struck out five in five shutout innings, giving up one hit and walking two.  Jiovanni Mier (Houston) was 2-for-4 with two doubles, driving in one.
