Mexican League: Games of October 19

CULIACAN 6, GUASAVE 2 IN GUASAVE


Twins: Chris Colabello was 0-for-4 and struck out twice for Guasave.
Game summary: Culiacan scored four in the first two innings, then got two more in the fourth to put the game away.
Culiacan: Ali Solis (San Diego) was 3-for-3 with a walk, scoring twice and driving in one. Ricardo Serrano was 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and scored twice.
Guasave: Manuel Flores struck out three in 2.2 scoreless innings.

MAZATLAN 11, MEXICALI 5 IN MEXICALI

Twins: Anthony Slama retired both batters he faced for Mazatlan.
Game summary: Mazatlan scored three in the fourth, three in the fifth, and three in the sixth to take control.
Mazatlan: Ivan Terrazas was 3-for-4 with a double, scoring twice and driving in three. Jesus Castillo was 2-for-4 with at two-run homer.
Mexicali: Oscar Robles was 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles, scoring once and driving in two. Jon Weber was 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI.

LOS MOCHIS 7, NAVOJOA 6 IN NAVOJOA

Game summary: Los Mochis scored three in the seventh to lead 7-3, then held on. Navojoa had the tying and winning runs on base with two out in the ninth.
Los Mochis: Sandy Madera was 2-for-4 with a home run and a walk, scoring twice. Sebastian Valle (Philadelphia) was 2-for-4 with a home run, scoring twice.
Navojoa: Kraig Binick was 4-for-5 and scored once. Wes Bankston was 2-for-5 with a home run.

OBREGON 8, HERMOSILLO 3 IN HERMOSILLO

Game summary: A six-run sixth put Obregon in control of the game. Carlos Valencia and Doug Clark each homered in the inning.
Obregon: Valencia was 2-for-4 with two homers, driving in four. Barbaro Canizares was 3-for-5, scoring once and driving in two.
Hermosillo: Jesse Gutierrez was 2-for-4 with a double, scoring once. Karim Garcia was 2-for-4, scoring once and driving in two.
