SALT RIVER 8, PEORIA 7 IN SALT RIVER

Twins:  Evan Bigley was 2-for-3 with a double and a walk, scoring twice and driving in one.
Game summary:  Salt River led 6-2 after five, then held on.  Peoria got the winning run on base with two out in the ninth.
Peoria:  Vinnie Catricala (Seattle) was 2-for-4 with a home run, driving in three.  Nick Franklin (Seattle) was 2-for-4 with a triple, scoring once and driving in one.
Salt River:  Kent Matthes (Colorado) was 3-for-4 with two doubles and a home run, scoring twice and driving in four.  Chris Owings (Arizona) was 2-for-5 with a double and scored twice.

MESA 8, SCOTTSDALE 4 IN SCOTTSDALE

Game summary:  Mesa scored three in the sixth to tie the score and two in the seventh to take the lead.
Mesa:  Jonathan Singleton (Houston) was 2-for-5 with a double and a triple, scoring twice and driving in one.  Aaron Westlake (Detroit) was 2-for-5 with a two-run homer, scoring twice.
Scottsdale:  Chris Gloor (San Francisco) gave up one run on four hits and two walks in five innings.  Alex Monsalve (Cleveland) was 2-for-4 with a double and drove in one.

SURPRISE 6, PHOENIX 1 IN SURPRISE

Game summary:  Leading 3-1, Surprise scored three in the fourth to put it away early.
Phoenix:  Max Stassi (Oakland) was 1-for-3 with a double and drove in one.  Michael Brady (Miami) struck out three in two shutout innings.
Surprise:  Whit Merrifield (Kansas City) was 2-for-4 with a double and a walk, scoring once.  Brian Fletcher (Kansas City) was 1-for-3 with a walk and a two-run homer, scoring twice.
