SURPRISE 4, PEORIA 1 IN SURPRISE

Twins: Nate Roberts was 2-for-4 and struck out once. Evan Bigley was 0-for-2 with a walk and struck out once. Caleb Thielbar gave up two hits but no runs in 1.1 innings.
Game summary: Surprise scored single runs in the second, third, fifth, and sixth.
Peoria: Cory Spangenberg (San Diego) was 2-for-4 with a home run.
Surprise: Boone Whiting (St. Louis) struck out four in four shutout innings. Mike O’Neill (St. Louis) was 3-for-3 and drove in a run.
