Only one game, but it was an exciting one with a walkoff
win.
ORIENTE 3, ESTE 2 IN ORIENTE
Este: Jose Ramirez (Cleveland) was 2-for-4 with a
double and a run. Allan Dykstra (Tampa
Bay) was 1-for-3 with a walk. Raul
Valdes pitched seven innings, giving up one run on four hits and two walks with
two strikeouts.
Oriente: Elian Herrera (Milwaukee) was 2-for-3 with a
home run and a walk. Leandro Castro was
1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI. Stolmy
Pimentel (Pittsburgh) pitched five innings, allowing one run on three hits and
a walk with one strikeout.
The game: Ramirez doubled and scored in the eighth to
put Este up 2-1. In the bottom of the
ninth, Junior Lake (Cubs) walked and scored to tie it and Castro singled in Luis
Jimenez (Milwaukee) with the winning run.
