Venezuelan Winter League: Game of October 20


A big fifth inning carries Zulia.

ZULIA 10, ARAGUA 5 IN ARAGUA

Twins:  Ryan O'Rourke pitched a scoreless inning, giving up only a walk for Zulia.
Zulia:  Giovanny Urshela (Cleveland) was 4-for-5 with two runs and two RBIs.  Reegie Corona (Yankees) was 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBIs.  Tim Dillard (Milwaukee) retired all four men he faced, striking out two.
Aragua:  Hector Gimenez (Milwaukee) was 2-for-5 with a two-run homer (his second) and a double.  Ramon Flores (Yankees) was 2-for-3 with a triple and a walk, scoring once and driving in one.  Gumercindo Gonzalez pitched a perfect inning with one strikeout.
The game:  Zulia put together five singles in a four-run fifth that put them up 8-2.  Aragua got three in the bottom of the fifth to close to 8-5, but that was as good as it got for them.
