Arizona Fall League: Games of October 13

All the Twins did well.  Zimmer zips it past Glendale batters.  There are ties in baseball, at least in the AFL.

Twins:  Byron Buxton was 2-for-4 with a double and a walk, scoring once and driving in one.  Eddie Rosario was 1-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.  Max Kepler was 1-for-3 with a walk and a run.  Zack Jones pitched a scoreless inning, giving up one hit.
Salt River:  Peter O'Brien (Arizona) was 1-for-4 with a two-run homer (his third) and a walk.  Nelson Gonzalez (Colorado) struck out two in two shutout innings, giving up one hit.
Surprise:  Rusney Castillo (Boston) was 2-for-5 with two doubles, scoring once and driving in one.  Nick Williams (Texas) was 2-for-3 with an RBI.  Taijuan Walker (Seattle) struck out six in five innings, allowing one run on two hits and two walks.
The game:  Trailing 4-1, Salt River scored six in the seventh.  O'Brien's two-run homer broke a 4-4 tie in the inning.

SCOTTSDALE 2, MESA 1 IN SCOTTSDALE

Mesa:  Spencer Kieboom (Washington) was 2-for-3 with a double and a walk.  Daniel Robertson (Texas) was 1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI.  Neil Holland (Washington) pitched a scoreless inning, allowing only a walk.
Scottsdale:  Josh Bell (Yankees) was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.  Tyler Glasnow (Pittsburgh) struck out three in three shutout innings, allowing two hits and a walk.
The game:  Scottsdale got both of their runs in the fourth.  Mesa got its lone run in the eighth, but stranded eleven runners.

PEORIA 2, GLENDALE 2 IN GLENDALE

Peoria:  Hunter Dozier (Kansas City) was 1-for-3 with a two-run homer and two walks.  Daniel Castro (Atlanta) was 1-for-4 with a walk and a run.  Kyle Zimmer (Kansas City) struck out eleven in five shutout innings, giving up two hits and a walk.
Glendale:  Nick Ramirez (Milwaukee) was 2-for-4 with a two-run homer, his second.  Darnell Sweeney (Dodgers) was 2-for-3 with two walks.  Brooks Hall (Milwaukee) struck out two in two shutout innings, allowing two hits.
The game:  Dozier hit a two-run homer in the first and Ramirez hit a two-run homer in the eighth.  Neither team got a hit with runners in scoring position.  By rule, AFL games are declared ties if they are not decided in eleven innings.
