Double trouble for Cibao.
ORIENTE 3, CIBAO 1 IN ORIENTE
Cibao: Moises Sierra was 2-for-3 with a walk. Alexi Casilla was 1-for-4 with a double and a run. Roman Colon pitched 1.1 perfect innings with one strikeout.
Oriente: Junior Lake was 3-for-4 with a double, scoring once and driving in one. Luis Jimenez was 1-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. Ryan Rowland-Smith pitched 5.1 innings, allowing one run on four hits and two walks with no strikeouts.
The game: Jimenez hit a two-run double that gave Oriente a 2-0 lead in the first. Cibao scored in the third and it stayed 2-1 until the eighth, when Lake doubled in an insurance run.
