Twins: Deolis Guerra (Magallanes) pitched 1.2 scoreless innings, striking out two while giving up one hit and no walks.Game summary: Magallanes scored two in the first and never trailed. Lara got two in the fifth to cut the lead to 3-2, but Magallanes came back with single runs in the fifth and seventh.
Lara: Paulo Orlando (Kansas City) was 3-for-5 and scored once. Robert Perez was 2-for-3. All eight Lara hits were singles.
Magallanes: Pablo Sandoval (San Francisco) was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. Endy Chavez (Kansas City) was 2-for-4 with a home run and scored twice.
Magallanes takes the lead in the best-of-seven series one game to none.
