Australian League: Games of January 25

SYDNEY 13, BRISBANE 0 IN SYDNEY

Twins: Rory Rhodes (Brisbane) was 0-for-3. JaDamion Williams (Sydney) was used as a reserve and hit a three-run homer in his only at-bat.
Game summary: Sydney scored five in the fourth to take a 6-0 lead.
Brisbane: Carlos Alonso (Philadelphia) was 2-for-4 with a double.
Sydney: Brad Thomas struck out eight in six innings, allowing five hits and no walks. Chris Snelling was 3-for-3 with a double and a walk, scoring twice and driving in one.

PERTH 11, MELBOURNE 3 IN PERTH

Twins: James Beresford (Melbourne) was 0-for-4.
Game summary: Melbourne led 3-1 after six. Perth rallied for eight runs in the seventh to take control of the game.
Melbourne: Brad Harman was 3-for-4 with two doubles and scored twice. Josh Davies was 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI.
Perth: Allan de San Miguel (Baltimore) was 2-for-4 with a three-run homer and scored twice. Carter Bell (Arizona) was 2-for-5 with a double, scoring once and driving in two.

CANBERRA 8, ADELAIDE 7 IN ADELAIDE

Game summary: Canberra led 7-3 after 4 ½. Adelaide cut it to 7-6 after six and 8-7 after seven. In the ninth, Adelaide had the tying run on second with one out and on third with two out.
Canberra: Adam Buschini was 3-for-5 with a home run, scoring twice and driving in four. Jack Murphy (Toronto) was 2-for-4 with a three-run homer.
Adelaide: Josh Cakebread was 3-for-4 with a run and an RBI. Ji-Man Choi (Seattle) was 2-for-4 with a home run, scoring twice.

PENNANT RACE UPDATE

With two games left in the regular season, Sydney leads Canberra by one game. In the battle for the third and final playoff spot, Perth leads Brisbane by one game and Adelaide by two games.
