Players of the Week: May 26--June 1, 2014

ROCHESTER

Position player:  Deibinson Romero was 7-for-22 with three doubles and three walks.  For the season he is hitting .292/.388/.435 in 168 at-bats.
PItcher:  Trevor May made two starts, pitching twelve innings.  He gave up an unearned run on nine hits and five walks with seven strikeouts.  For the season he is 5-3, 2.62, 1.11 WHIP with 54 strikeouts in 55 innings.

NEW BRITAIN

Position player:  Daniel Ortiz was 12-for-26 with three doubles, a triple, and a walk.  For the season he is hitting .324/.340/.500.
Pitcher:  Sean Gilmartin made one start, pitching six shutout innings.  He gave up five hits and two walks with nine strikeouts.  For the season he is 5-3, 3.17, 1.27 WHIP with 60 strikeouts in 59.2 innings.

FORT MYERS

Position player:  Mike Gonzales was 7-for-16 with two doubles and a walk.  For the season he is hitting .253/.328/.392 in 166 at-bats.
Pitcher:  Jose Berrios made one start and pitched a seven-inning complete game.  He gave up no runs, one hit, and no walks with thirteen strikeouts.  For the season he is 5-2, 2.24, 1.17 WHIP with 65 strikeouts in 56.1 innings.

CEDAR RAPIDS

Position player:  Mitch Garver was 12-for-27 with a double, two home runs, four walks, and two stolen bases.  For the season he is hitting .304/.388/.492 in 191 at-bats.
Pitcher:  Aaron Slegers pitched six innings, giving up one run on three hits and three walks with four strikeouts.  For the season he is 5-2, 4.95, 1.30 WHIP with 47 strikeouts in 56.1 innings.
