LOUISVILLE 4, ROCHESTER 2 IN ROCHESTER (11 INNINGS)

Batting stars: Danny Valencia was 2-for-5 with a two run homer. Chris Parmelee was 0-for-2 but walked three times.
Pitching stars: Daryl Thompson struck out six in five innings, giving up two runs on six hits and two walks. Deolis Guerra struck out two in three perfect innings.
Opposition stars: Cody Puckett was 3-for-5. Corky Miller was 2-for-4 with a double. Travis Webb struck out four in two shutout innings.
Key inning: The eleventh. With the score tied at two, Puckett singled with one out and stole second. This set up an intentional walk. Miguel Rojas singled in the go-ahead run and a ground out brought in an insurance run.
Other: The Red Wings had gone six games without a home run.

NEW HAMPSHIRE 3, NEW BRITAIN 1 AT NEW BRITAIN

Batting star: Joe Benson was 2-for-3 with a walk.
Pitching stars: Luis Perdomo retired all four batters he faced. Brad Thompson retired all three batters he faced, striking out two.
Opposition stars: Justin Jackson was 2-for-4 with a double. Brian Van Kirk was 2-for-4. Deck McGuire allowed one run on three hits and two walks in six innings.
Key inning: The seventh. Leading 2-1, the Fisher Cats got a leadoff single by Jackson. He took second on a wild pitch, took third on a ground out, and scored on a sacrifice fly to give New Hampshire an insurance run.

BREVARD COUNTY 5, FORT MYERS 4 IN BREVARD COUNTY (10 INNINGS)

Batting star: Oswaldo Arcia was 3-for-5 with a double.
Pitching star: Nelvin Fuentes worked two perfect innings.
Opposition stars: Franklin Romero, Jr. was 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Casey Medlen struck out four in two perfect innings.
Key inning: The tenth. In the top of the inning, Andy Leer led off with a walk, took second on a bunt, and went to third on a ground out, but was stranded there. In the bottom of the inning, a pair of singles and a hit batsman loaded the bases with none out. Michael Walker then singled in the winning run.

BELOIT 7, QUAD CITIES 3 IN BELOIT

Batting stars: Matthew Koch was 3-for-4 with a double and a home run, driving in three. Jonathan Goncalves was 3-for-4 with his first home run. Wang-wei Lin hit his first home run.
Pitching star: Matthew Summers gave up two runs on four hits and two walks in six innings.
Opposition stars: Colin Walsh was 2-for-4 with a double. Luis Mateo hit a home run.
Key inning: The second. The River Bandits scored in the top of the inning to tie the score at one. Drew Leachman led off the bottom of the inning with a walk. Goncalves followed with a single. Koch then hit a three-run homer to give the Snappers a lead they would never lose.
Other: Koch’s homer was his second in two games. The Snappers have won six consecutive games.
