Venezuelan League: Game of December 9

A perfect inning for Yorman Landa.  A big inning decides it.

LA GUAIRA 7, LARA 2 IN LA GUAIRA

Twins:  Yorman Landa (La Guaira) pitched a perfect inning with one strikeout.
Lara:  Luis Valbuena (Cubs) was 2-for-4 with a double and a run.  Paulo Orlando (Kansas City) was 2-for-4 with a run.  Lino Urdaneta pitched 2.1 scoreless innings, giving up two hits and one walk.
La Guaira:  Alex Cabrera was 2-for-3 with a walk and a double, scoring twice and driving in one.  Hector Sanchez (San Francisco) was 3-for-3 with a walk, scoring once and driving in one.  Tyson Brummett pitched five innings, allowing two runs on six hits and one walk with two strikeouts.
The game:  An RBI single by Robert Perez and a run-scoring ground out gave Lara a 2-0 lead in the top of the fourth.  In the bottom of the fourth, Cabrera doubled in one run and Sanchez singled in another to tie the score at two.  In the fifth, La Guaira struck for five to take control of the game.  A run scored on a ground out, Salvador Perez had an RBI single, a bases-loaded walk brought home a run, and C. J. Retherford had a two-run single.  Lara threatened in the sixth and seventh but then had their last seven batters retired.
