"Preview" is in quotes because the playoffs have actually started. However, because I'm still a ways behind in reporting the games, I have not reported on any of the playoff games yet. If I was caught up, this is where the playoff preview would have gone. So, here it is. I'll be brief.
Four teams make the playoffs, based on the regular-season records. This year, Escogido and Aguilas tied for first with records of 31-19. Escogido was apparently awarded first place based on a tie-breaker. Licey finished third at 29-21 and Cibao was fourth at 22-28.
Everyone goes back to 0-0 in the playoffs, though. Assuming it's the same as last year, it will be an eighteen-game round robin. The top two teams in the round-robin will then play a best-of-nine series for the championship.
