Twins:  None.

JALISCO 8, LOS MOCHIS 2 IN JALISCO

Jalisco scored two in the first, four in the second, and two in the third to build an 8-0 lead.  Agustin Murillo was 3-for-5.  Japhet Amador was 1-for-2 with two walks and a three-run homer, his sixth.  William Oliver struck out seven in seven shutout innings, giving up three hits and a walk.

NAVOJOA 5, MAZATLAN 0 IN NAVOJOA

Max Ramirez hit a two-run homer in the fourth to give Navojoa a 3-0 lead.  Jesus Castillo was 1-for-2 with three walks.  Jaime Lugo struck out seven in seven innings, giving up five hits and a walk.

HERMOSILLO 6, OBREGON 5 IN HERMOSILLO

Obregon scored three in the eighth to tie it 5-5.  In the ninth, however, a single, a double, and a wild pitch brought home the winning run for Hermosillo. Jason Bourgeois was 3-for-4 to lead Hermosillo.  Barry Enright struck out seven in six innings, giving up two runs on five hits and two walks.

MEXICALI 4, CULIACAN 2 IN CULIACAN

Ricky Alvarez hit a grand slam in the fourth inning for all the runs Mexicali needed.  Rolando Valdez pitched six innings, giving up two runs on seven hits and striking out four.  For Culiacan, Ryan McBroom was 2-for-4 wtih a home run, his fourth.

DOMINICAN LEAGUE

AUSTRALIAN LEAGUE

Twins:  Aaron Whitefield (Brisbane) was 2-for-4 with a walk and two runs.  Logan Wade (Brisbane) was 1-for-4 with a walk.

CANBERRA 7, MELBOURNE 5 IN CANBERRA

Melbourne scored five in the eighth to tie it, but David Kandilas hit a two-run double in the bottom of the eighth to provide the lead runs for Canberra.  Kandilas was 2-for-4 with a home run (his fourth), a walk, and four RBIs.  Frank Galley pitched six shutout innings, giving up four hits and three walks and striking out four.  Delmon Young was 3-for-4 with a grand slam, his third homer, for Melbourne.

ADELAIDE 8, PERTH 5 IN PERTH

Adelaide scored three in the seventh to break a 5-5 tie.  Jordan McArdle hit a three-run homer, his second.  Connor O'Gorman was 2-for-4 with a home run.  For Perth, Jake Fraley was 2-for-5 with a home run, his fourth.  Michael Brosseau was 1-for-3 with a two-run homer, his third.

BRISBANE 15, SYDNEY 12 IN BRISBANE (10 INNINGS)

Talk about a see-saw game.  Sydney led 2-0, Brisbane led 4-2, Sydney led 5-4, Brisbane led 7-5, Sydney led 10-7 and 11-9, and Brisbane scored two in the ninth to tie it 11-11.  Then the goofy "start with men on first and second" rule came into play.  In the top of the inning, a walk and a sacrifice fly put Sydney ahead 12-11.  In the bottom of the inning, a bunt, an intentional walk, and a grand slam by Wade Dutton won it for Brisbane.  Dutton was 2-for-5 with two home runs (his second and third) and six RBIs.  David Sutherland was 2-for-4 wtih two home runs (his second and third) and four RBIs.  Those were the eight and nine batters for Brisbane.  The also got two-run homers from Mitch Nilsson (his fifth) and T. J. Bennett (his fifth).  For Sydney, Chih-Hsien Chiang was 4-for-5 with a walk.  Connor McDonald was 3-for-4 with a home run, his second.  Jin-De Jhang was 3-for-5 with a double and a walk.  Michael Suchy was 2-for-3 with two walks, a double, and a home run, his third.
