Games of November 23

A Delmon Young sighting in Australia!

VENEZUELAN LEAGUE

Twins:  None.
ZULIA 5, CARACAS 0 IN CARACAS
Zulia scored one in the first, two in the sixth, and two in the ninth.  Reynaldo Rodriguez was 3-for-5.  Logan Duran pitched seven shutout innings, giving up three hits and two walks while striking out three.
MARGARITA 10, LARA 5 IN LARA
Margarita scored five in the fourth to break a 2-2 tie.  Francisco Diaz had a two-run single in the inning.  For Lara, Juniel Querecuto was 3-for-4 with a double.
LA GUAIRA 7, ANZOATEGUI 4 IN ANZOATEGUI
La Guaira scored three in the eighth to break a 4-4 tie.  Miguel Gonzalez brought home the go-ahead runs with a two-run single.  Alonzo Harris was 3-for-5.  For Anzoategui, Luis Jimenez was 2-for-4 with a home run (his fourth) and a double.  Cesar Valera hit a home run, his second.
ARAGUA 8, MAGALLANES 4 IN MAGALLANES
Leading 5-4, Aragua scored three in the ninth to put the game out of reach.  Luis Villegas was 3-for-4 with two home runs (his seventh and eighth) and a double, scoring three times and driving in three.  Jose Vargas hit a home run, his tenth.  Guillermo Moscoso pitched 5.1 innings, giving up two runs on five hits and three walks while striking out four.  For Magallanes, Mario Lisson was 2-for-5 with a two-run homer, his fourth.

MEXICAN LEAGUE

Twins:  None.
LOS MOCHIS 5, OBREGON 4 IN OBREGON
Los Mochis scored four in the first and led all the way.  Obregon closed to 5-4 and had the tying run on third in the seventh.  Olmo Rosario was 3-for-3 with a grand slam (his third homer) for Los Mochis, driving in all five runs.  Jonathan Castellanos pitched five innings, giving up two runs (one earned) on four hits and two walks while striking out one.  Justin Greene was 3-for-5 for Obregon.
HERMOSILLO 13, CULIACAN 1 IN CULIACAN
Culiacan scored one in the third, but Hermosillo got five in the fourth and never looked back.  Fernando Perez was 3-for-4 with a three-run homer (his seventh), two doubles, and two walks, driving in five.  Alejandro Flores was 3-for-5 with two doubles.  Barry Enright pitched 5.2 innings, giving up one run on three hits and no walks while striking out five.
NAVOJOA 4, MAZATLAN 1 IN MAZATLAN
Navojoa scored one in the first and two in the second, leading all the way.  Jesus Castillo was 1-for-2 with a home run (his sixth) and two walks.  Jaime Lugo struck out eight in 5.2 innings, giving up one run on three hits and a walk.
MEXICALI 9, JALISCO 0 IN MEXICALI
It was scoreless through six, but Mexicali scored two in the seventh and seven in the eighth.  Xorge Carrillo hit a three-run homer, his second.  Rolando Valdez pitched 6.2 scoreless inning, giving up five hits and two walks while striking out three.  William Oliver pitched 6.2 innings, giving up two runs on four hits and a walk while striking out five for Jalisco.

DOMINICAN LEAGUE

No games scheduled.

AUSTRALIAN LEAGUE

Twins:  None.
CANBERRA 5, SYDNEY 4 IN CANBERRA (10 INNINGS)
Sydney led 4-1 after six, but Canberra got two in the seventh and one in the eighth to tie it up.  The Australian League uses a "start the inning with men on first and second" extra inning rule.  Jay Baum singled home the go-ahead run in the bottom of the tenth.  Connor Panas was 3-for-4 with a home run (his second) and a triple.  Kyle Perkins hit a home run, his second.  Robbie Perkins was 3-for-4.  For Sydney, Jacob Younis was 3-for-4 with a double and Chih-Hsien Chiang hit a two-run homer, his second.
MELBOURNE 8, ADELAIDE 6 IN ADELAIDE
Melbourne trailed 5-4 through seven, but Jared Cruz hit a three-run homer in the eighth to go into the lead to stay.  It was his second homer of the season.  Delmon Young was 2-for-5 with a home run.  For Adelaide, Stephen Lohr and Tai-San Chang were each 3-for-5 with a double.
