Games of November 22

VENEZUELAN LEAGUE

Twins:  None.
ARAGUA 1, ZULIA 0 IN ARAGUA (GAME 1--7 INNINGS)
The game's lone run scored on a double play in the second inning.  Zulia out-hit Aragua 8-3.  Robert Zarate struck out six in 4.1 scoreless innings, giving up five hits for Aragua.  For Zulia, Reiner Roibal pitched 4.1 innings, giving up one run on three hits and five walks with three strikeouts.
ZULIA 8, ARAGUA 2 IN ARAGUA (GAME 2--7 INNINGS)
Hector Gimenez hit a two-run homer in the fourth to break a 1-1 tie.  Aragua then scored three in the sixth and two in the seventh to put the game out of reach.  Gimenez was 2-for-2 with a home run (his fourth) and a double, driving in four.  Wilfredo Boscan pitched five innings, giving up two runs (one earned) on four hits while striking out two.
LARA 5, MARGARITA 3 IN LARA
Lara scored three in the first and led all the way.  Rangel Ravelo was 3-for-4 with a home run, his third.  Williams Perez struck out six in five innings, giving up one run on four hits and two walks.  Imeldo Diaz was 3-for-4 with a triple for Margarita.
MAGALLANES 5, CARACAS 1 IN CARACAS
Magallanes scored two in the second and two in the fourth and led the rest of the way.  Ronny Cedeno was 3-for-5.  John Lamb pitched 5.1 innings, giving up one run on two hits and five walks while striking out one.
ANZOATEGUI 1, LA GUAIRA 0 IN ANZOATEGUI
Tomas Telis' RBI single in the fourth produced the game's only run.  Daryl Thompson pitched 6.2 scoreless innings, giving up two hits while striking out three.  For La Guaira, Tommy Collier pitched six innings, giving up one run on three hits and a walk while striking out four.

MEXICAN LEAGUE

Twins:  None.
OBREGON 4, LOS MOCHIS 2 IN OBREGON
Leo Heras hit a two-run triple in a four-run seventh that broke a scoreless tie and gave Obregon all the runs they needed.  Tomo Otosaka was 3-for-4.  Pablo Ortega pitched six shutout innings, giving up four hits while striking out three.
CULIACAN 4, HERMOSILLO 1 IN CULIACAN
Culiacan scored three in the first and that was all the runs they needed.  Anthony Vasquez pitched 7.2 innings, giving up one run on six hits and two walks while striking out six.  For Hermosillo, Ryan Verdugo pitched six innings, giving up three unearned runs on four hits and two walks while striking out two.
MAZATLAN 4, NAVOJOA 3 IN MAZATLAN  (11 INNINGS)
Esteban Quiroz' RBI single brought home the winning run.  Oscar Verdugo pitched six innings, giving up one run on three hits and a walk while striking out two.  For Navojoa, Tyler Kane pitched 5.1 innings, giving up two runs on six hits and four walks.
JALISCO 9, MEXICALI 2 IN MEXICALI
Jarrod Saltalamacchia hit a two-run double in a four-run third that gave jalisco all the runs they needed.  Manny Rodriguez was 3-for-4 with four RBIs.  Amadeo Zazueta was 3-for-6.  Octavio Acosta struck out seven in seven innings, giving up two runs on eight hits and no walks.

DOMINICAN LEAGUE

Twins:  None.
GIGANTES 3, ESCOGIDO 1 IN ESCOGIDO
All the runs scored in the first inning, two of them on a Moises Sierra single.  Alfredo Simon pitched five innings, giving up one run on four hits and two walks while striking out one.
LICEY 7, ESTRELLAS 3 AT ESTRELLAS
Licey scored one in the second, two in the third, and two in the fifth to build a 5-0 lead.  Yamaico Navarro hit a home run, his second.
AGUILAS 4, TOROS 2 AT AGUILAS
The Aguilas scored three in the second to go ahead 3-1 and they led the rest of the way.  Richelson Pena struck out six in six innings, giving up one run on four hits.

AUSTRALIAN LEAGUE
