Arizona Fall League: Games of October 21

Not much to cheer for the Twins or for the entire Glendale team, for that matter.  Eddie Rosario did okay.

Glendale:  Colin Moran (Miami) was 1-for-2 with two walks.  Tucker Barnhart (Cincinnati) was 1-for-3 with a walk.
Scottsdale:  Andrew Susac (San Francisco) was 3-for-4 with a two-run homer.  Alex Dickerson (Pittsburgh) was 2-for-4.  Aaron Northcraft (Atlanta) struck out four in three shutout innings, allowing two hits and two walks.
The game:  Susac hit his two-run homer in the second to give Scottsdale a 3-0 lead.  It was 4-0 through seven.  The lone Glendale run came in the eighth.

PEORIA 5, SALT RIVER 3 IN PEORIA

Salt River:  Bo Schultz (Arizona) struck out five in five innings, giving up one run on five hits and one walk.
Peoria:  Delino DeShields (Houston) was 3-for-4 with two doubles and a run.  Jason Adam (Kansas City) struck out four in four innings, allowing one run on two hits and a walk.
The game:  It was tied at three after six.  In the seventh, Japhet Amador (Houston:  6'4", 305 pounds) hit a two-run homer to give Peoria a 5-3 lead.

MESA 9, SURPRISE 6 IN MESA

Surprise:  Travis Shaw (Boston) was 2-for-5 with a double and scored twice.  Jorge Alfaro (Texas) was 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI.  Garin Cecchini (Boston) was 2-for-5 with two RBIs.
Mesa:  Devon Travis (Detroit) was 2-for-3 with a double, scoring once and driving in three.  Addison Russell (Oakland) was 2-for-5 with a home run.  Sammy Solis (Washington) pitched five innings, allowing one run on six hits and one walk with four strikeouts.
The game:  Mesa took a 4-1 lead with a four-run second.  David Freitas hit a three-run homer in the inning.  Mesa built the lead to 9-1 after six.  Surprise got two in the seventh and three in the eighth to make the final score look better, but did not get the tying run up to bat.
