Rochester will have to settle for 141-3. Eddie Rosario goes deep for Fort Myers. A good day for Daniel Ortiz.

BUFFALO 9, ROCHESTER 2 IN ROCHESTER

Batting stars: Chris Colabello was 2-for-5 and scored once. Jeff Clement was 1-for-2 with two walks and scored once. Doug Bernier was 1-for-2 with two walks and an RBI. The Red Wings drew eleven walks and had seven hits, all singles.
Pitching stars: None.
Opposition stars: Andy LaRoche was 4-for-6 with a home run, scoring three times and driving in three. Eugenio Velez was 3-for-6 and scored once. Munenori Kawasaki was 2-for-3 with two walks, scoring twice and driving in one. The Bisons drew eight walks.
Key inning: The fourth. Leading 2-0, Buffalo tallied four times. Six singles produced the runs, which came off Bruce Pugh and Caleb Thielbar.

RICHMOND 7, NEW BRITAIN 5 IN RICHMOND

Batting stars: Daniel Ortiz was 3-for-4 with two doubles, scoring once and driving in three. Harold Garcia was 2-for-4 with a two-run homer.
Pitching stars: A. J. Achter struck out two in two shutout innings, giving up no hits and two walks. Nelvin Fuentes pitched a scoreless innings, giving up one hit.
Opposition stars: Javier Herrera was 2-for-3 with a two-run homer. Omar Javier allowed a run on a hit and two walks in three innings. Tom Vessella struck out three in two shutout innings, allowing one hit.
Key inning: The seventh. With the score tied at five, Ricky Oropesa drew a one-out walk and Adam Duvall hit a two-out, two-run homer off Marty Popham to provide the margin of victory.

FORT MYERS 10, BRADENTON 6 IN FORT MYERS

Batting stars: Miguel Sano was 3-for-4 with a walk, scoring three times. Michael Gonzales was 2-for-4 with a walk and a two-run homer, scoring three times. Eddie Rosario was 2-for-5 with a home run and scored twice.
Pitching stars: Ryan O'Rourke struck out two in two perfect innings. Zach Jones struck out one in a perfect innings.
Opposition stars: Elias Diaz was 2-for-4 with two doubles and scored once. Alen Hanson was 2-for-5 with a triple, scoring twice and driving in one. Jhonathan Ramos struck out two in 2.1 scoreless innings, allowing one hit.
Key inning: The first. Fort Myers scored five times on a single, two doubles, a walk, and three errors. Kennys Vargas and Lance Ray each hit a two-run double in the inning.

BELOIT 2, CEDAR RAPIDS 1 IN CEDAR RAPIDS

Batting stars: Byron Buxton was 1-for-3 with a walk. Jorge Polanco was 1-for-4 with an RBI. The Kernels had only four hits.
Pitching stars: Matt Tomshaw struck out four in 2.2 scoreless innings, giving up two hits and two walks. Manuel Soliman gave up three hits in two shutout innings.
Opposition stars: Ryan Matthews was 3-for-3 with a double, a home run, and a walk, driving in two. Sam Roberts was 2-for-4 with a double and scored once. Seth Streich pitched five shutout innings, allowing two hits and three walks while striking out four.
Key inning: The eighth. Trailing 2-0, Candido Pimentel singled with two out and scored on a double by Polanco to put the tying run into scoring position. Dalton Hicks then grounded out and Cedar Rapids did not get another man on base.
