PAWTUCKET 3, ROCHESTER 2 IN PAWTUCKET (11 INNINGS)
Batting star: Jose Martinez was 2-for-4 with two RBIs.
Pitching stars: Taylor Rogers pitched 6.1 innings, giving up two runs on five hits and no walks with three strikeouts. A. J. Achter struck out two in two shutout innings, giving up no hits and no walks.
Opposition stars: Quintin Berry was 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI. Jonathan Roof was 2-for-4 with a run. Brian Johnson struck out seven in 6.2 scoreless innings, allowing an unearned run on one hit and one walk.
The game: It was scoreless through five, but in the sixth Berry singled in a run to put the Red Sox up 1-0. Each team scored once in the seventh, making the score 2-1. With two out and none on in the ninth the Red Wings got three singles, the last by Martinez to drive in the tying run. With men on first and third with one out in the eleventh, Humberto Quintero delivered a bunt single to bring home the winning run.
Of note: Danny Santana was 0-for-5. Eric Fryer was 0-for-4. Reynaldo Rodriguez was 1-for-5. Danny Ortiz was 1-for-5 with a run.

FORT MYERS 4, PALM BEACH 3 IN FORT MYERS (11 INNINGS)
Batting stars: Chad Christensen was 1-for-5 with a double and two RBIs. Zach Granite was 1-for-2 with a double and a run. Bryan Haar was 1-for-4 with a walk and an RBI.
Pitching stars: Stephen Gonsalves pitched five innings, giving up two runs on three hits and four walks with two strikeouts. Matt Summers pitched two shutout innings, giving up two hits. Alex Muren pitched two shutout innings, giving up one hit and two walks with one strikeout.
Opposition stars: Michael Massi was 1-for-3 with two walks, scoring once and driving in two. Jose Gonzalez was 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI. Ronnie Shaban pitched 2.2 scoreless innings, allowing one hit and two walks.
The game: Haar singled in a run in the first, but Massi delivered a two-run single in the second to put the Cardinals up 2-1. Blake Drake singled in a run in the sixth to make it 3-1, but the Miracle tied it 3-3 in the bottom of the sixth on Christensen's two-run double. The Miracle put a man in scoring position in the seventh, eighth, and ninth, but could not break through until the eleventh. Granite led off the inning with a double, was bunted to third, and scored on a wild pitch to win the game.
Of note: Jason Kanzler was 1-for-5 with a walk and a run. Alex Swim was 1-for-4 with a walk and a run.

BLUEFIELD 5, ELIZABETHTON 4 IN BLUEFIELD
Batting stars: LaMonte Wade was 1-for-3 with a triple, scoring once and driving in one. Tyler Kuresa was 1-for-4 with a double, scoring once and driving in one.
Pitching star: Alexis Tapia struck out five in five innings, giving up an unearned run on six hits and one walk.
Opposition stars: Carl Wise was 2-for-4 with a walk, scoring twice and driving in one. Christian Williams was 2-for-4 with a walk, scoring once and driving in two. Jacob Brentz pitched five shutout innings, allowing three hits and no walks with four strikeouts.
The game: A four-run sixth put the Twins ahead 4-1. The Blue Jays got two in the eighth to cut the lead to 4-3. In the ninth, Wise singled to tie the game and eventually came around to score on three walks to win it.
Of note: Sean Miller was 0-for-4. Rainis Silva was 0-for-4 with a run. Austin Diemer was 2-for-4.
GCL TWINS 8, GCL ORIOLES 5 AT TWINS (11 INNINGS)
Batting stars: Robert Molina was 1-for-1 with a three-run homer. Travis Blanenhorn was 1-for-1 with a double and a walk, scoring twice and driving in one. John Hayman was 2-for-5 with a triple, scoring once and driving in one.
Pitching stars: Matz Schutte pitched four shutout innings, giving up two hits and no walks with two strikeouts. Eduardo Del Rosario struck out five in four innings, giving up three runs (one earned) on five hits and no walks. Yorman Landa pitched a perfect inning with one strikeout.
Opposition stars: Frank Crinella was 2-for-4 with two runs. Ronald Soto was 2-for-5 with a double and a run. Jeony-Hyeon Moon pitched four shutout innings, giving up two hits and a walk with three strikeouts.
The game: The first two Twins of the game were retired, but two singles, a hit batsman, and two walks put the Twins ahead 2-0. The lead held until the fifth, when two singles, an error, two walks, and two wild pitches produced three Orioles runs. They added two more in the sixth to go up 5-2. It was still 5-2 going to the bottom of the ninth, when with two out and a man on third, Blankenhorn doubled, Hayman tripled, and Brian Olson singled to tie the score. The Orioles got a man to third with one out in the tenth, but left him there. In the eleventh, the Twins put men on second and third with one out and Molina hit a walkoff three-run homer to win the game.
Of note: Luis Arraez was 0-for-4 with a walk. Amaurys Minier was 2-for-4 with a run. Brian Olson was 2-for-4 with an RBI.
DSL MARINERS1 11, DSL TWINS 3 AT MARINERS1
Batting stars: Francisco Hernandez was 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Gabriel A. Ynfante was 2-for-4 with a walk and a run. Antonio Tovar was 2-for-5 with a run and an RBI.
Pitching star: Luis Gil retired all four men he faced with one strikeout.
Opposition stars: Joseph Rosa was 3-for-5 with a triple, scoring three times and driving in one. Geoandry Montilla was 1-for-2 with a double and a walk, scoring twice and driving in one. Pedro Vasquez pitched five shutout innings, allowing four hits and a walk with three strikeouts.
The game: A five-run fourth put the Mariners1 ahead 7-0 and in firm control of the game. Hernandez had a two-run single in the sixth to put the Twins on the board, but the Mariners1 came right back with four in the seventh.
Of note: Edwin Franco was 0-for-3 with a walk and a run. Jorge Parra was 0-for-5. Edgar Herrera was 0-for-5. Jose Ramirez pitched five innings, giving up seven runs (four earned) on six hits and four walks with three strikeouts.
