Twins:  Oswaldo Arcia (Aragua) was 2-for-4 with a double.  Dakota Watts (Aragua) worked 2.1 scoreless innings, giving up a hit and a walk and striking out one.  Eduardo Escobar (Anzoategui) was 1-for-5 with a double and an RBI.

Game summary:  Escobar broke a 3-3 tie with an RBI double in the eighth.  Anzoategui scored three in the ninth to put the game away.

Anzoategui:  Luis Nunez (Dodgers) was 3-for-5 with a double, scoring once and driving in three.  Alex Herrera worked 2.1 scoreless innings.

Aragua:  Luis Hernandez (Texas) was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.

LA GUAIRA 6, ZULIA 2 IN ZULIA

Game summary:  La Guaira scored two in the seventh to take a 3-2 lead and got three in the eighth to take control.

La Guaira:  Darin Ruf (Philadelphia) was 2-for-4 with a double, scoring twice and driving in one.  Eduardo Figueroa (Cubs) struck out three in 2.1 scoreless innings.

Zulia:  Evan Gattis (Atlanta) was 2-for-4 with a two-run homer.  Austin Bibens-Dirkx (Colorado) struck out eight in five innings, allowing one run on three hits and a walk.

CARACAS 8, MAGALLANES 5 IN CARACAS

Game summary:  Caracas led 8-0 after five.  Magallanes scored four in the eighth to try to get back into the game.

Magallanes:  Eliezer Alfonzo was 2-for-4 with two home runs, driving in three.  Chris Nowak was 2-for-4 and scored once.

Caracas:  Victor Garate gave up one run on two hits and two walks in six innings.  Henry Wrigley (Tampa Bay) was 2-for-4 with two home runs and drove in three.
