Dominican League: Games of October 31


ORIENTE 2, LICEY 0 IN ORIENTE

Twins:  Drew Butera (Oriente) was 1-for-2 with a double and a walk, scoring once.
Game summary:  Butera’s double ignited a two-run rally in the third, the only runs of the game.
Licey:  Atahualpa Severino (Washington) struck out three in 2.1 hitless innings, walking one.
Oriente:  Derek Hankins (Texas) struck out four in four shutout innings.  Ben Snyder (Texas) gave up one hit and one walk in four shutout innings.

ESCOGIDO 11, AGUILAS 4 IN ESCOGIDO

Twins:  Pedro Florimon was 2-for-2 with two walks and scored twice.
Game summary:  Leading 4-0, Escogido scored six in the sixth to put the game out of reach.
Aguilas:  Victor Mendez drove in two runs.
Escogido:  Justin Fitzgerald (San Francisco) struck out five in five shutout innings, giving up four hits and two walks.  Kole Calhoun (Angels) was 2-for-4 with a home run and drove in three.

ESTE 4, CIBAO 2 IN CIBAO

Twins:  Wilkin Ramirez was 1-for-4 for Este.
Game summary:  Este took the lead 3-2 with a run in the fourth and scored an insurance run in the eighth.
Este:  Dan Butler (Boston) was 3-for-4 with a double and a home run.  Josh Outman struck out eight in six innings, giving up two runs on five hits and a walk.
Cibao:  Jean Segura (Milwaukee) was 2-for-3 with a walk and an RBI.  Erick Abreu (Houston) struck out four in two perfect innings.
