AFL Games of November 2


PEORIA 7, MESA 5 IN PEORIA

Twins:  Nate Roberts was 1-for-3.  Caleb Thielbar surrendered two runs on a hit and three walks in 1.1 innings while striking out one.
Game summary:  Peoria overcame a 3-0 deficit with five runs in the third and never trailed again.
Mesa:  Nick Castellanos (Detroit) was 3-for-4 with a walk.  L. J. Hoes (Baltimore) was 2-for-4 with a walk and scored twice.
Peoria:  Rymer Liriano (San Diego) was 3-for-5 with a home run and drove in three.  Jeudy Valdez (San Diego) was 2-for-4 with two doubles and a walk, scoring twice.

PHOENIX 3, SURPRISE 1 IN PHOENIX

Game summary:  Grant Green (Oakland) led off the seventh with a home run for Phoenix, breaking a 1-1 tie.
Surprise:  Luis Sardinas (Texas) was 3-for-4.  Boone Whiting (St. Louis) struck out four in four innings, giving up one run on three hits and a walk.
Phoenix:  Nick Ahmed (Atlanta) also hit a home run.

SCOTTSDALE 9, SALT RIVER 2 IN SCOTTSDALE

Game summary:  Scottsdale scored four in the second to break a 1-1 tie.  Salt River never got closer than three runs.
Salt River:  Anthony Rendon (Washington) was 2-for-4 with a triple and scored once.  Kevin Pillar (Toronto) was 2-for-4 and scored once.
Scottsdale:  Adalberto Santos (Pittsburgh) was 2-for-4 with a double, scoring once and driving in two.  Tyler Holt (Cleveland) was 2-for-4, scoring once and driving in three.
