ESCOGIDO 10, LICEY 7 IN ESCOGIDO

Twins:  Pedro Florimon (Escogido) was 1-for-4.
Game summary:  Escogido built a 9-2 lead after four innings.
Licey:  Donell Linares was 2-for-5 with a home run.  Anderson Hernandez (Pittsburgh) was 2-for-4 with a triple and scored twice.
Escogido:  Wilkin Castillo (Colorado) was 2-for-5 with a double and a triple, driving in two.  Starling Marte (Pittsburgh) was 2-for-5 with a two-run homer, scoring twice.

ORIENTE 9, ESTE 2 IN ESTE

Twins:  Jhonatan Arias (Oriente) was 2-for-4 with a walk and an RBI.
Game summary:  Homers by Todd Linden (San Francisco) and Nelson Perez (Cubs) gave Oriente a five-run sixth and a 6-2 lead.
Oriente:  Junior Lake (Cubs) was 4-for-5 with a double, scoring twice and driving in one.  Eliezer Mesa (Oakland) was 3-for-4 with a double and a walk, scoring twice and driving in one.
Este:  Josh Outman allowed one run in five innings.  Jose Ramirez (Cleveland) was 2-for-3 with a walk and scored once.

AGUILAS 8, CIBAO 4 IN AGUILAS

Game summary:  Juan Carlos Perez hit a three-run homer in the sixth to put Aguilas ahead 6-4.  They had trailed 4-1 after four.
Cibao:  Robinzon Diaz was 3-for-4 with a walk and a double, scoring twice.  Jimmy Paredes (Houston) was 2-for-4 with a double and drove in four.
Aguilas:  Perez was 3-for-4 with two doubles and the home run, scoring three times.  Tony Pena, Jr. (Boston) allowed one hit in 2.1 scoreless innings.
